Hi, I’m Laura and I live in the North East with my husband, our little boy and cat, Zoe. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, travelling to new places, trying new food and I have a particular love of baking.
I qualified with a degree in Linguistics in 2011 and went on to work as an assistant manager in a private tuition centre. I decided to return to education to become a Speech and Language Therapist and qualified with a Masters in Language Pathology from Newcastle University in 2014.
I have since worked as a paediatric Speech and Language Therapist primarily within the NHS, however in recent years I have branched out and now split my time between the NHS and private practice. I have always loved working with children, young people and their families. No two days are ever the same! The voice of the child and their views is always at the centre of what I do. I believe in the importance of working collaboratively with key adults around the child to reach shared goals, this includes parents/carers, school staff and wider professionals.

Areas of Specialism
I work with the full spectrum of speech, language and communication needs, with a specialist interest in stammering- reflected in my current NHS role as clinical lead for stammering. I have extensive experience delivering training in schools and modelling therapy approaches to staff groups.
